Buy or Use Your Existing Domain on GoDaddy
If you already own the domain in GoDaddy, skip ahead to Step 2. Otherwise, follow these steps to purchase a new one:
- Go to godaddy.com and log in to your account.
- In the search bar, type the domain name you'd like (for example,
yourbrand.com). - Click Search Domain and confirm your preferred name is available.
- Click Add to Cart or Make it yours.

- Enter payment details and click Complete Purchase.
- GoDaddy will confirm the domain is now in your account.
Open Your Base Camp Media Group Funnel or Web Page Settings
Grab the DNS details from your funnel or web page so you know exactly what to enter in GoDaddy:
- Log in to your Base Camp Media Group account.
- Go to the Funnels area and open the funnel or web page you want to connect.
- Open the funnel or web page's Settings panel.
- Locate the section labeled Domain or Custom Domains.
- Note the recommended DNS records (typically an A record and/or a CNAME record) and the target values provided.
- Keep this tab open — you'll return to it after adding the records in GoDaddy.
Add DNS Records in GoDaddy
You'll now connect your domain by adding or editing DNS records so the domain points to Base Camp Media Group.
Access Your DNS Settings
- In GoDaddy, click your name in the top-right corner and choose My Products.
- Find the domain you want to use and click DNS or Manage DNS next to it.
- This opens the DNS Management page where you can view and edit your records.
Add or Edit the Required Records
Your exact records may vary slightly based on your Base Camp Media Group configuration. In most cases, you'll need two records:
1. Recommended Method (CNAME)
Use a CNAME record if you are connecting a subdomain (e.g., www.yourdomain.com or go.yourdomain.com).
| Type | Host / Name | Points To / Target |
|---|---|---|
CNAME |
www (or your subdomain prefix) |
cnamewwwsites.ludicrous.cloud. |
| Record Type | Host / Name | Points To | TTL |
|---|---|---|---|
A |
@ (root domain) |
IP address provided in your funnel or web page settings | 1 hour (default) |
CNAME |
www |
Target host provided by Base Camp Media Group | 1 hour (default) |
- Locate the existing A record for
@(root domain). If one already exists pointing elsewhere, edit it rather than creating a new one. - Set Host to
@, set Points to to the IP address from your funnel or web page settings, leave TTL at default, then click Save. - Next, create or edit the CNAME record — Host:
www, Points to: the target host provided by Base Camp Media Group. - Save your changes.
@, remove the one that does not point to Base Camp Media Group.Connect the Domain Inside Base Camp Media Group
Once your DNS records are in place, tell your funnel or web page which domain to use:
- Return to your Base Camp Media Group funnel or web page's Settings tab.
- In the Domain or Custom Domains area, click Add Domain or Connect Domain.
- Enter your full domain (for example,
yourbrand.com). - If prompted, choose whether
www.yourbrand.comoryourbrand.comshould be the primary URL — you can usually redirect one to the other. - Click Save or Connect.
- Base Camp Media Group will check your DNS. If everything looks right, the domain will show as Connected or Pending (while propagation finishes).
Verify and Test Your Live Domain
- Wait at least 10–15 minutes after saving your DNS records in GoDaddy.
- In a new browser tab, type your domain (e.g.,
https://yourbrand.com). - Test in an incognito / private window to avoid cached results.
- You should see your Base Camp Media Group funnel or web page load under your new domain. 🎉
- If it doesn't load yet, wait a bit longer and check again. DNS propagation can be gradual.
dnschecker.org by entering your domain to see how far it has spread across global DNS servers. If Your Domain Isn't Working
Waited at least 30–60 minutes and it's still not loading? Check these common causes:
Make sure there's only one A record for @ and one CNAME for www, both pointing to Base Camp Media Group's values.
If www.yourdomain.com works but yourdomain.com doesn't (or vice versa), double-check both the A and CNAME records.
DNS can take up to 24 hours globally. If everything is configured correctly, it may simply need more time.
Confirm the domain in GoDaddy and in Base Camp Media Group match exactly — no extra spaces, hyphens, or characters.
Try a different browser, a private/incognito window, or a different device entirely to rule out cached results.
